Skillet Chili No. 2

Hardware

  • Cutting board (non-meat)
  • Knife
  • Skillet
  • Small Pot

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound ground beef
  • 1 Large yellow onion
  • 3-4 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Tablespoon ancho powder
  • 1 Tablespoon guajillo powder
  • 1 Teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 1 Tablespoon cumin
  • 1 Tablespoon oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 2 Cup of broth

Process

  1. Chop onion and garlic, then set them aside
  2. Heat skillet
  3. Add broth to small pot and bring to simmer
  4. Add chili powders and seasonings to broth once it is warm, stiring until well integrated
  5. Brown and drain ground beef in skillet
  6. Add onion and garlic to skillet
  7. Add sauce from small pot to skillet
  8. Cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally
  9. Salt to taste
