Texas Mirepoix

Hardware

  • Cutting board (non-meat)
  • Knife
  • Measuring cup
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Storage container for 8 cups of chopped vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 Medium yellow onion
  • 3-5 Celery stalks
  • 3 Large carrots
  • 5-10 Jalapeño

Process

  1. Chop 2 cups of onion
  2. Chop 2 cups of celery
  3. Chop 2 cups of carrot
  4. Chop 2 cups of seeded jalapeño
  5. Mix vegetables in bowl
  6. Put vegetables in storage container and store in refrigerator
